​Before starting a mix, the creative direction should be understood.

Communication is always invaluable, but especially during the mixing process.
For instance, Artists will genuinely feel that their music is great, but has potential to sound better and more competitive with industry standards.
​
​In most cases, a mixing engineer will interpret the Artist's vision and spend the next week in a cave, with no phone service, constantly mixing and revising the song.
In order to combat any miscommunication, I like to share my mixing sessions, live, with the artist. We fix the biggest issues in-person or on a video chat.
The smaller and more technical details are done before sending the mix back to the artist. Mix revisions will take some time, but everyone sleeps better at night until the mix sounds incredible.
